Being a lawyer is more than a job, indeed it is more than a profession. Being a lawyer is a way of life. As such you must embrace it with zeal and enthusiasm. You are not just an attorney 9-5 in your office – you are an attorney at family functions, in your church or synagogue, with your neighbors and friends.

With all due humility, I consider myself blessed in that I am the only attorney in the tri-county area (Delaware, Chester and Montgomery Counties) that for 40 years has been counsel to the Orphans’ Court (Estate court) as well as a practitioner. Accordingly, I see legal issues for both the judicial and practitioners point of view. What happens after a matter is filed with the Court is not a mystery to me, it is my function to shepherd it through the judicial system. I truly believe I am unique in that I can guide a client not only through document preparation but how the matter will be received by the judiciary.

Over those 40 years as counsel for the Court, I have assisted eight different judges of Delaware County. It is indisputable that each judge has his own personality and style. To be able to interface and work with each different personality requires the ability to relate to different people and address their concerns.

As counsel for the Courts, I have literally mediated and conferenced hundreds, if not over a thousand, disputes in Orphans’ Court, many to settlement and resolution. I bring these same skills to each and every client I have the privilege of assisting.
